HERITAGE DAYS: A LIVING HISTORY FESTIVAL, Oct. 12-13, Depot District, Third and Elgin streets. Step back in time to the rough and tumble territorial days of Muscogee, Indian Territory Walk in the footsteps of the legendary lawman Bass Reeves, in a downtown walking tour at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12. On Oct. 13, enjoy a chuck wagon setup, shootouts in the street, re-enactors and storytellers, live music and food, western crafts, Native American song and dance, outhouse races at 1 p.m., kids’ games and much more family fun. FESTIVAL OF CHOIRS, 5 p.m. Dec. 1, following the Downtown Muskogee Christmas Parade, Roxy Theater. Choirs from across the city join together to present Christmas music. The event will end with a community singalong of favorite Christmas carols. Choir directors should send requests to participate to muskogeemainstreet@gmail.com.
