2012 CASTLE HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL, 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 20-27, The Castle of Muskogee. Expect some different twists, turns and surprises. Tickets must be purchased for events and prices range from $2 to $10. Advanced tickets may be purchased any non-festival day up to Oct. 25. Halloween Village is the place where everyone experiences the very best of Halloween — ghost stories, hot and cold food and drinks, games and dancing to great music in the DJ Tent. HERITAGE DAYS: A LIVING HISTORY FESTIVAL, Oct. 12-13, Depot District, Third and Elgin streets. Step back in time to the rough and tumble territorial days of Muscogee, Indian Territory Walk in the footsteps of the legendary lawman Bass Reeves, in a downtown walking tour at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12. On Oct. 13, enjoy a chuck wagon setup, shootouts in the street, re-enactors and storytellers, live music and food, western crafts, Native American song and dance, outhouse races at 1 p.m., kids’ games and much more family fun. FALL ARTS FESTIVAL, Oct. 13, Muskogee Civic Center. The Muskogee Area Arts Council, Inc., will sponsor the event. Booth space is available under the covered parking for artists to display and sell their art. The cost is $10 for a single space and $20 for a double space. HALLOWEEN FALL FESTIVAL, 10 a.m. oct. 20, Tenkiller State Park. Day starts by creating your own pumpkin masterpiece. A limited number of pumpkins will be provided for carving, but you must bring your own carving tools. Starting at 7 p.m., there will be face painting, autumn crafts, trunk-or-treat, a candy-in-a-hay-stack, musical chairs, and more. Cost: Adults, $3; children 4-12, $2; children 3 and under, free.

FESTIVAL OF CHOIRS, 5 p.m. Dec. 1, following the Downtown Muskogee Christmas Parade, Roxy Theater. Choirs from across the city join together to present Christmas music.
