GARDEN OF LIGHTS, dusk to 10 p.m. today to New Year’s Eve, Honor Heights Park. View more than 1,000,000 shimmering lights as well as the animated displays. Donations accepted. CHRISTMAS KINGDOM, 7 to 10 p.m. today to New Year’s Eve, The Castle of Muskogee, 3400 Fern Mountain Road. Enjoy more than 1,200 holiday inflatables. The Castleton Village is lit up with scenes made from your favorite holiday inflatables. Thousands of additional lights have been added. LIVING NATIVITY, 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 6, Crossroads Community Church, located at the intersection of County Road 280 and 19th Street, south of Boyd’s Welding, south Wagoner. The living nativity includes a hay ride through several scenes depicting the gospel record of the birth of Jesus. Actors and scenes will be dressed and adorned to reflect the Biblical life and culture in which Jesus the Messiah was born. Hot chocolate and cookies served. Admission is free.

LIVE DRIVE-THROUGH NATIVITY, 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5, First Baptist Church, 5 miles west of U.S. 69 on Wainwright Road, then 1 block north on First Street, Wainwright, sponsored by the Women on Mission. The event will feature six scenes with actors in full costume, live animals, and treat bags for every visitor. Guests will drive through and hear the narrated story of Christmas, never leaving the warmth of their cars.

SANTA CLAUS BREAKFAST, 9:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 5, Muskogee High School cafeteria, hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and McDonald’s. Muskogee area children accompanied by an adult are welcome. Meals for children 15 and under are free. Cost is $1 for adults.

FREE HEALTH SCREENING, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8, second Tuesday of the month, Kiwanis Senior Citizens Center, 119 Spaulding Blvd. HomeHealth Care of Oklahoma will test blood pressure, blood sugar tests and cholesterol screening once every three months for those members who come regularly. MUSKOGEE SILENT DINNER FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 10, food court, Arrowhead Mall. Food and drinks may be purchased from any food vendor in the mall. FREE PORTRAITS FOR MILITARY FAMILIES, hosted by Muskogee Shutterbug Club, 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 12, Muskogee Public Library. It is open to immediate family members of loved ones serving in the military. Families will receive a CD with their images along with a copyright release and a certificate for a free 8x10 from the Muskogee Walmart. There are openings for 15 families, and you must schedule an appointment by calling Mandy Lundy, 478-4136.
