Parades

PORUM CHRISTMAS PARADE, hosted by the Porum Chamber of Commerce, 10:30 a.m. Nov. 28. Theme is “Hot Rod Christmas/Rockin’ to the ’50s.” Prizes in the float division are $75, first; $50, second; and $25, third. Prize for best bicycle, four-wheeler, horse rider and tractor is $10. A trophy will be awarded to best hot rod and motorcycle, and people’s choice for each division. The chamber will sell hot chocolate and Christmas cupcakes. If you live in the Porum area, you can pick up an entry form at Circle R Store or the Porum Elementary School office. WAGONER CHRISTMAS PARADE, 7 p.m. Dec. 3. Information: 485-3414.

DOWNTOWN MUSKOGEE CHRISTMAS PARADE, 1 p.m. Dec. 5, beginning at Muskogee Civic Center. Theme is “O, Christmas Tree!” To enter the parade, contact Downtown Muskogee Inc., 683-2400, or e-mail muskogeemainstreet@gmail.com.

CHECOTAH CHRISTMAS PARADE, 4 p.m. Dec. 5, downtown Checotah, sponsored by Checotah Chamber of Commerce. Grand marshals are veterans of recent history. The lighting of the Christmas tree will be at 5:30 p.m. in Pocket Park. Information: 473-2070.
