COINS 4 CRITTERS BEAN SUPPER AND SILENT AUCTION, 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 5, Northeastern State University, Muskogee campus. Entertainment will be by Scott and Leigh Ann Matthews. Main St. A silent auction is at 7 p.m. with karaoke from 7 to 8 p.m.; Kaleb Kilhoff from 8 to 9 p.m. and Lil T and The Jamin Drs at 10 p.m. There also will be a short movie, “Respect” and “The Pain,” shown at 9 p.m. Admission is $5. There is a short movie casting call from 4 to 6 p.m. for moms, dads and teens. The event is sponsored by Prevention Awareness in Neighborhoods or PAIN Against Domestic Violence.

HOT DOG FUNDRAISER, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 7, Atwoods, Checotah, sponsored by Checotah Animal Shelter. Proceeds will go toward spaying and neutering, shots and worming of animals adopted from the shelter. A Checotah Wildcat football jersey signed by Carrie Underwood will be given away for a $1 chance.
