MANGUM —
The wife of a former Oklahoma warden accused of helping a prisoner escape more than 16 years ago wants a Greer County judge to dismiss the charge.
District Judge Richard Darby will hear oral arguments from prosecutors and defense attorneys Thursday on motions filed on behalf of Bobbi Parker. Parker is scheduled to go to trial on a felony charge of assisting a prisoner to escape on Sept. 20. She has pleaded not guilty.
Defense attorney Garvin Isaacs claims evidence that shows Parker is innocent is being withheld or has been destroyed.
Isaacs says Parker was kidnapped by convicted killer Randolph Dial as he escaped from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite in August 1994. He says she was held hostage until she was rescued by authorities in Texas 11 years later.
