Teen dies after car flips in effort to dodge deer

— TULSA (AP) — An Owasso teenager died Saturday after a car she was in rolled several times after the driver swerved to try to avoid a deer.

The wreck was the second fatality of the weekend in the Tulsa area involving a deer.

Tulsa television station KOTV reported that the teenager was in a sedan when the driver tried to avoid the deer and the car flipped several times.

Police said a teenage girl was partially ejected. She died at a hospital. One other injured teen was taken in for treatment. Their names have not been released.

Police say the teens were all students at Owasso High School and had been bowling.

A Coweta man died Friday night in a deer-involved wreck in Rogers County.
