GUTHRIE (AP) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said the death of a Guthrie man found in his home has been ruled a homicide.
The OSBI said that Guthrie police requested assistance after the body of Francis Maurice Byrd was found Saturday.
The state Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death a homicide, the bureau said. The cause of death was not released.
Police found the body after being asked by Byrd's family to check on him because he had missed a family gathering.
