TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa police say a man leading an officer on a high speed chase was killed when his car went airborne and crashed into the second floor of an apartment complex.
Police say 28-year-old Larry Steven Bible Jr. died in the collision early Thursday morning.
Investigators say Bible was being pursued shortly after midnight when he drove off a city street and hit a curb. Police say the car went airborne for nearly 100 feet before crashing into the apartment building about 20 feet off the ground.
The car then spun into the wall of a first floor apartment and knocked the wall onto a woman who was asleep in bed. The woman suffered only minor injuries.
