TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa police officer patrolling a midtown neighborhood spotted a burning home and helped pull two residents to safety.
Police say the officer saw smoke coming from the home about 12:20 a.m. Monday when he stopped for a closer look. After finding the house on fire, he and three other officers approached the rear of the home when they heard a man yelling.
The officers managed to pull two people from the home. Police say both residents were having trouble breathing and were in stable condition at a local hospital.
