MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — The original sheet music for a song country music star Carrie Underwood co-wrote about her Oklahoma hometown is now in the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Underwood formally donated the sheet music for "I Ain't In Checotah Anymore" on Thursday night at a dinner at the museum, which is located in Muskogee's historic Frisco Depot.
The song appeared on Underwood's 2005 debut album, released a few months after she won the "American Idol" competition.
The sheet music is framed with a signed photo of Underwood and a plaque celebrating the hall of fame's "dedication to Oklahoma's historic contributions to music."
Underwood was inducted into the hall of fame in September.
