NICHOLS HILLS, Okla. (AP) — Police in Nichols Hills say a doctor has been arrested on a murder complaint in the death of his 9-year-old son.
Police Chief Richard Mask says officers were called about 4 a.m. Monday and found Tommy Wolf wounded. Mask says the boy later died but did not reveal how who give a motive.
Mask says 51-year-old Stephen Wolf was arrested on a murder complaint in the death. A spokeswoman at the Oklahoma County jail says Wolf is being held without bond. It wasn't known if he had yet hired an attorney.
The police chief says the first 911 call came from a neighbor where Wolf's wife — Mary — went seeking help. He says two more calls were made from the Wolf home, apparently by Mary Wolf.
Mary Wolf is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
A telephone answering service employee said Wolf's office that he shares with other physicians is closed today and scheduled to reopen Tuesday.
