JAY, Okla. (AP) — A 63-year-old Jay man was killed when he was hit by a car while helping victims of another auto accident.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Peter Holland died in the collision about 12:15 p.m. Sunday on State Highway 20 about 15 miles northeast of Jay.
Troopers say Holland was standing just off the roadway when another car went off the roadway in a curve and hit him before crashing into a fence. The driver of the car was not injured.
