ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) — The FBI is investigating after a baby's body was found under a bed in a dormitory at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko.
Special Agent Gary Johnson says the mother of the infant is hospitalized with issues related to the birth. Her condition was not released.
The baby's body was sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
No arrests have been made.
A spokeswoman for the school declined comment.
The school is a boarding school operated by the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs. The FBI is investigating because the school is on federal land.
