LOCO, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say an 18-year-old Loco resident was killed in an single-vehicle accident in Stephens County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Alan Thomas Jackson died of massive injuries at the scene of the accident Monday night on a county road.
The patrol says a car driven by Ashley Edwards was headed north on the road at a high rate of speed when it encountered a dip in the road and went out of control. Troopers say the vehicle rolled an unknown amount of times, partially throwing Jackson out of the rear passenger window. He was pinned for nearly five hours.
Edwards, 16, was treated at Duncan Regional Hospital and released.
Troopers say both occupants were wearing seat belts.
