FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Cass County authorities have filed charges of murder, robbery, burglary and theft against an Oklahoma man in the death of a North Dakota dentist.
Michael Nakvinda (nak-VIN'-dah) appeared Monday in Oklahoma County District Court to say he would not fight a return to North Dakota to face the charges.
The 41-year-old Nakvinda is charged in the death of Philip Gattuso of Fargo, a former Oklahoma resident.
Court documents allege Nakvinda killed the 49-year-old Gattuso while trying to steal his Porsche convertible. Authorities said Gattuso died of a head injury.
The car was found at a storage facility in Oklahoma City. Witnesses saw it being pulled on a trailer near Gattuso's home hours before his body was found in his Fargo condominium on the night of Oct. 26.
