BIXBY, Okla. (AP) — The director of community development for Owasso has died in an apparent hunting accident.
Eric Wiles was killed Saturday morning as he was deer-hunting on a family farm south of Bixby, according to Owasso Assistant City Manager Warren Lehr.
Wiles was struck by a bullet fired by a muzzleloading rifle as he and other hunters tracked a deer.
