TONKAWA, Okla. (AP) — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Kay County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the victim of Saturday's crash as Isabel Martinez, 28, of Wichita, Kan.
The collision occurred at 4:40 a.m. on Interstate 35, about two miles south of Tonkawa.
Troopers say the victim's pickup truck was northbound when it veered off the roadway to the left. Martinez overcorrected and the vehicle went off the right side of roadway, struck a guardrail and came to rest in the outside northbound lane.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The patrol says she was not wearing a seat belt.
