BETHANY, Okla. (AP) — An elementary school in the Oklahoma City suburb of Bethany was placed on lockdown for a time because of a burglary suspect in the are.
Police say the lockdown at Earl Harris Elementary School on Wednesday was lifted after police caught the suspect.
Police say the suspect was never on the school grounds and the lockdown was simply a safety precaution.
Other details were not released and school officials would not immediately comment on the situation.
