Cause of woman's death unknown, but "suspicious"

HEAVENER, Okla. (AP) — An autopsy on the body of a woman found dead in a state park in May was unable to determine her cause of death.

The report says 23-year-old Jody Wilson died "under suspicious circumstances" but that because of decomposition of the body — no significant injuries or disease could be found.

Wilson's badly decomposed body was found May 8 in a wooded area about 35 feet off a logging road on Poteau Mountain, about 10 miles from her home in Wister. The report says it appears the woman was dead and her body dragged into the woods.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says no suspects have been identified and agents will continue investigating the case as a suspicious death.
