OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Randy Brogdon says he had a scare when one of the engines on a private plane he was flying on from Tulsa to Woodward quit in flight.
Brogdon — a state senator — says he left Tulsa on the plane Thursday for a campaign event in Woodward and about 15 minutes into the flight the left engine quit. He says it "was a little scary" but the other engine was working and plane landed safely and was repaired.
He did not say how many others were on board but said the plane could seat six people.
Brogdon faces U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin, Yukon businessman Robert Hubbard II and Oklahoma City businessman Roger Jackson for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.
