Bond revoked for man accused in fatal crash

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma County judge has revoked the bond for a man who is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of a boy.



James Opp was released from custody several days ago, but District Judge Jerry Bass on Wednesday granted District Attorney David Prater's motion to revoke Opp's bond and have him detained until his trial.



Opp is accused of a causing a Feb. 26 wreck in south Oklahoma City that killed 5-year-old Adam Stutts. Opp is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol.



Defense attorney Irven Box's request to have Opp fitted with an ankle bracelet monitor was denied.



Box said the media has incorrectly reported the facts about Opp's charges and bond, but he acknowledged that Opp had a substance abuse problem.
