CLAREMORE (AP) — A 1-year-old boy has been taken to a Tulsa hospital for testing for meningitis.
Oologah-Talala Emergency Medical Services spokesman John Wylie says an ambulance was sent to Claremore Regional Hospital about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to take the boy to St. Francis Hospital.
Wylie said he can't release additional information and hospital officials declined comment.
It wasn't known if the case is related to a strain of meningitis that's killed two Oologah-Talala elementary students and left five other students sick.
