OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City police have released the names of man shot to death by a police officer and of the officer who fired the shot.
Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow says 22-year-old Peter Crawford was shot and killed Saturday night by Officer James Williams.
Police say Williams had responded to a disturbance call just after 7:30 p.m. in northwest Oklahoma City but the man accused of causing the disturbance had left.
Investigators say Crawford then returned to the home and displayed a pistol then was shot after ignoring Williams' repeated orders to drop the weapon.
Williams wasn't injured and is on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of an investigation.
