MIAMI, Okla. (AP) — A 7-year-old Ottawa County boy who had been revived by rescue crews after almost drowning has died.
Kenneth Barnett died Thursday, the day after nearly drowning in waist-deep water at the Sycamore Valley Recreational Area near Wyandotte while participating in a Miami children's program.
The boy was taken to a hospital in Joplin, Mo., and then flown by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital, where he died.
