OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Sheriff's deputies say an inmate booked into the Oklahoma county jail on an assault complaint is a fugitive from murder charges in Cleveland and is wanted for questioning in a California slaying.
Oklahoma County sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers said yesterday 29-year-old Carlos Medina provided an alias when he was booked on assault accusations, but his identity was determined through fingerprints.
Medina is wanted in the Feb. 10, 2002, stabbing death of his estranged wife in Cleveland and the severe wounding of one of her relatives.
He also is wanted for questioning in the 1995 stabbing death of a man in Baldwin Park, Calif.
