PAWNEE, Okla. (AP) — A Pawnee County judge has sentenced a Hallett man to 25 years in prison for the death of his wife.
Forty-year-old Mark Paul Bixler pleaded no contest last week to a reduced charge of first-degree manslaughter. Bixler received no credit for time served and none of his term was suspended.
Bixler was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 40-year-old Michelle Bixler, who was found severely beaten and stabbed July 12 at the couple's home.
Mark Bixler was arrested in Florida two days later.
Records show he has been fined $10,000.
