2 men accused of bomb hoax

GROVE, Okla. (AP) — Two Grove men have been accused of calling in a bomb threat at a hospital under construction.

Delaware County prosecutors have charged 22-year-old Andrew Jonathan Torres and Michael William Armstrong with two counts each of a terrorism hoax. They are in the Delaware County Jail with bail set at $10,000 each.

The pair allegedly called Grove police on June 4 and again Wednesday and said there was a bomb at the new Integris Grove General Hospital construction site.

Authorities say both later said the calls were a prank.

The 18-year-old Armstrong reportedly acknowledged making the calls but said he did so at Torres' urging.

According to an affidavit, Torres worked for a subcontractor at the construction site and wanted to skip work.
