TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Scottie Haralson, a 6-4, 220-pound guard at the University of Connecticut, is transferring to the University of Tulsa.
Golden Hurricane head basketball coach Doug Wojcik made the annoucement today after Haralson signed scholarship papers to attend Tulsa.
Haralson will sit out the 2009-10 season and have three years of eligibility remaining when he becomes eligible for the 2010-11 campaign.
He joins D.J. Magley of Western Kentucky as the second four-year transfer for the Hurricane this year.
Haralson spent the 2008-09 season as a true freshman at UConn. He appeared in 17 games off the bench and averaged 1.4 points in 4.1 minutes of action for the Huskies.
Seven of his eight field goals made on the season were from three-point range.
