SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) — Police have arrested a Sapulpa woman in connection with the abandonment of a newborn baby in a trash bin last month.
Police say 30-year-old Kristina R. Blackburn as arrested at 3:10 p.m. yesterday after authorities received word that a DNA sample taken from the Dumpster matched DNA from her saliva. A sample was obtained when she was questioned earlier.
The infant was found behind the Disabled American Veterans building May 24th. Police say the boy is doing well and is in foster care.
Blackburn is being held on $100,000 bond on a complaint of child abuse.
Police said she was living with her terminally ill mother.
