BLACKWELL, Okla. (AP) — Police in Blackwell say a woman who was working with officers in a drug investigation escaped during an attempted drug buy.
Deputy Police Chief Dewayne Wood says 38-year-old Cynthia Campbell ran away during a controlled buy of narcotics about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Wood says Campbell — who also uses the name Cynthia Coursey — did not get away with any drugs.
Wood says Campbell was being held by city police on traffic warrants and had a drug possession case pending in Blaine County.
