MARLOW, Okla. (AP) — Two victims of a convicted child molester say the man claimed to have abused corpses at the funeral home in Marlow where he worked.
Records show the two told state agents that 49-year-old Lonnie Gene Patterson showed them corpses and said "Dead people don't fight back like little boys."
Patterson was a funeral director at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral home.
Funeral home vice president David Murch says he's shocked by the allegations and feels hurt and betrayed.
Murch says he doesn't believe Patterson abused any corpse but may have been trying to get a reaction from the boys he molested.
Patterson pleaded guilty to one count of lewd molestation of a minor and was sentenced earlier this month to 20 years in prison.
