TECUMSEH —
Authorities have arrested the second of two men who allegedly went on a violent crime spree.
Pottawatomie County Undersheriff Dave Balleweg says the man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon without incident. He was later identified as Jason Masieo.
Investigators allege Masieo and Bobby Cardenas carjacked a Konawa motorist just after 9:30 a.m. During a struggle, authorities say a man who stopped to help the motorist, Jimmy Cunningham, was shot and critically wounded. The car's owner, Ruben Brewer, sustained head injuries and was taken to an Ada hospital.
Officials say the men drove Brewer's truck to the Maud area, where they allegedly stole a utility contractor's vehicle, robbed a convenience store and took a woman's car.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation alleged they also stole a church van, drove it to Tecumseh and robbed a pharmacy. Shots were fired there but no one was hurt.
Cardenas was arrested in Cleveland County following a chase.
