JAY, Okla. (AP) — A Craig County sheriff's deputy has been given a one-year deferred sentence after pleading no contest to a charge of destroying property.
Twenty-nine-year-old Justin Dean Sumner of Ketchum was charged with maliciously defacing property and malicious injury to property.
Authorities say Sumner shot out the lights on the Arrowhead Yacht Club sign and damaged a power transformer in Ketchum.
Sheriff Jimmie Sooter says Sumner was initially placed on paid administrative leave but has been reinstated.
