CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) — A former Rogers County Sheriff's deputy has been arrested on a sexual battery complaint.
Gary Handley of Broken Arrow surrendered Wednesday morning and was booked into the Rogers County jail. He's free on $10,000 bond.
Sheriff Scott Walton said in a statement the incident is "disheartening" and that "this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable."
Handley was assigned to the courthouse security detail in May when a female courthouse employee reported him for inappropriate touching.
Handley could not be immediately reached for comment.
