TULSA —
A former Catoosa police officer has pleaded guilty to distributing a prescription painkiller.
Twenty-nine-year-old Misty Dawn Chandler pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Tulsa to distributing hydrocodone. She said she legally obtained a prescription for the drug — but later illegally distributed some of it.
The Tulsa World reports Chandler is the third former Catoosa city employee to plead guilty to federal charges related to hydrocodone.
Former assistant Police Chief Paul Whitmire was given probation for illegally obtaining hydrocodone. Former Municipal Court Clerk Phyllis Matthews was given probation for illegally distributing the drug.
Prosecutors say they'll likely recommend probation for Chandler as well.
