Small earthquake trembles central Okla., no damage

CHANDLER, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey reports a late-night earthquake in central Oklahoma, but it apparently didn't wake anyone up.



The quake hit around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday northeast of Oklahoma City near Chandler. Local police and Lincoln County sheriff's dispatchers said they'd received no calls about the quake, damage or injuries.



The geological survey reported on its Web site late Tuesday that the quake had a magnitude of 3.3, with a depth of about three miles.



It's the second small trembler to hit the area since Friday, when a 2.2 magnitude quake shook south of Oklahoma City around the town of Purcell.



The survey records about 50 earthquakes a year in Oklahoma, though few are reported as being felt by residents.
