TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The former police chief of Wynona has been arrested on accusations that he molested a relative.
Tulsa County jail records show 49-year-old Timothy Lee Boyer was booked on complaints of rape by instrumentation and lewd molestation of someone younger than 16.
An arrest report indicates Boyer walked into the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office on Monday and told an investigator he had been molesting the girl, who is now 16, for about eight years.
He said he had molested her more than 100 times and that the last time he did so was on July 3. A detective called the girl and she confirmed that the abuse had occurred.
Boyer was the police chief in Wynona for three months from March 17 through June 22.
