GREENLEAF INVITATIONAL – The Porter boys raced out to a 34-18 halftime lead over Oaks in the first round of the Greenleaf Invitational at Porum on Monday and never looked back in their 72-38 win.
Jacob Richardson led the way for the Pirates (3-1) with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Fowler added 14 points for while Cody Winkle chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds.
Porter advances in the winner’s bracket and will meet the winner of Tuesday’s game between Webbers Falls and Hulbert at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Braggs boys dropped a 71-32 decision to Kinta in their first-round game. Blaine Dunlap led the Wildcats with 12 points.
Braggs will get the loser of Tuesday’s game between Porum and Gore at 5:50 p.m. Friday.
JERRY OQUIN TOURNAMENT – Fort Gibson saw its record drop to 2-2 with a 79-74 loss to Pryor at the Jerry Oquin tournament in Inola.
Zack Lindley and Jordan Hill tied for scoring honors with 24 points each while Jordan London finished with 15 points.
The Tigers will meet Siloam Springs JV at 5 p.m. Friday.
GREENLEAF INVITATIONAL – The Porum Lady Panthers held on for a 58-57 win over the Braggs Lady Wildcats on Monday in the opening round of the Greenleaf Invitational in Porum.
The Lady Panthers were led by Keisha Mahan with 16 points and Catlin Stinett poured in 15 points. Riley Beasley had a game-high 19 points for the Lady Wildcats and Hannah Mackey had 13 points.
The Porter Lady Pirates fell to Oaks in their first-round matchup 39-26 and will face Braggs at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Cierra Richardson led Porter with 11 points.
Porum will face Oaks in a winner’s bracket game at 7:10 p.m. Friday.
JERRY OQUIN TOURNAMENT – The Fort Gibson Lady Tigers improved to 4-0 on the season with a 78-37 win over Siloam Springs JV in their first-round game at the Jerry Oquin Tournament in Inola.
Allie Glover led a quartet of Lady Tigers, No. 2 in the Okrankings.com Class 4A poll, in double figures with 21 points. Brooke Palmer had 16 points for FGHS while Grace Parker and CheyAnne Johnson added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Lady Tigers will next meet Oologah at 4 p.m. Thursday.
