MURRAY ST. 82, CONNORS (M) 71 – Murray State jumped out to an early lead and never gave it up en route to an upset of the Connors State Cowboys Monday night at Beams Field House in an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference clash.
The loss drops the Cowboys to 16-4 for the season and 7-3 in OCAC play, while the Aggies improve to 10-9 and 6-3. Connors returns home to play Carl Albert State College Thursday night at Melvin Self Field House. Tip-off is 8 p.m.
Connors had four players in double-digit scoring led by Devante Moore’s 20 points, a season high for the El Reno sophomore. Josh Cameron followed with 19 points with Willie Atwood scoring 16 and Hakeem Harris 10.
MURRAY ST. 81, CONNORS (W) 73 – Murray State rallied from a six-point deficit midway the second half then held off the Connors State Cowgirls en route to an Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference victory Monday night at Beams Field House.
The Cowgirls were led by Tonisha Dean’s 17 points was followed by Shakayla Love’s 14, Sha’Georgia Williams 13 and Shakemia Franklin’s 12 points.
