• Northeastern State University baseball team’s instructional fall league for high school students (classes of 2013 to 2016) starts Sept. 9 and runs until Oct. 7. First day will involve skill evaluation and placement. •Cherokee National Holiday tournaments, two-player senior (age 50 or older) scramble on Aug. 30.  On Friday, Aug. 31, two-player teams of all ages Aug. 31; both at 8 a.m.; and three four-player scrambles, two at 8 a.m. and another at 2 p.m.  Two scrambles are scheduled on Saturday, one at 8 a.m. and another at 2 p.m.  Players will tee up at 8 a.m. for a par 3 scramble on Sunday.
