TULSA — Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points and Tulsa used a torrid second half to bury Houston with a 72-48 lopsided victory on Saturday night.
Tulsa (15-10, 8-3 Conference USA) shot 59 percent in the second half en route to outscoring Houston (11-12, 3-7) 46-26. Steven Idlet scored 15 points to compliment nine rebounds and Scottie Haralson contributed 13 for the Golden Hurricane.
Houston’s bench was outscored 19-0 in the second half, which began to spiral in earnest for the Cougars following a Clarkson layup that broke a 30-all tie with 13:28 remaining and sparked a 17-1 Tulsa run that put the game out of reach. Houston had previously overcome a 26-22 halftime deficit to lead tie the game. The Cougars’ last lead occurred at the 15:56 mark of the first half to the tune of 6-5.
Joseph Young and Jonathon Simmons led Houston with 13 points apiece.
Coach Doug Wojcik won his 138th game, breaking the former record for most wins by a TU coach.

TULSA — Oral Roberts (23-5, 15-1) clinched at least a share of the Summit League regular season championship beating Western Illinois (13-11, 7-8).
The victory also extends the Golden Eagles’ home winning streak to 22 games, the third longest in the country, and matches the most regular season wins under Coach Scott Sutton, tying the 23-6 mark during the 2004-05 regular season.
Dominique Morrison, as he has done lately, exploded in the second half, finishing with 17 points, 13 of which came in the second half. His personal streak of double digit scoring efforts extends to 20 consecutive games.
Arkansas 76,
S. Carolina 65
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas always seems to look its best at home, no matter how bad it has looked on the road.
The Jekyll-and-Hyde Razorbacks continued that trend Saturday, with BJ Young scoring 27 points in a 76-65 victory over South Carolina.
The win followed a lackluster effort in a loss Wednesday night at Georgia, and it improved Arkansas to 17-0 at Bud Walton Arena this season. It’s the most wins in one season in Fayetteville for the Razorbacks (17-8, 5-5 Southeastern Conference) since the arena opened in 1993.
Arkansas’ 1993-94 national championship team was 16-0 and held the previous mark for home wins. Several former Razorbacks were at Bud Walton Arena on Saturday to watch the game and a documentary afterward on that team and former Arkansas coach Nolan Richardson.
Richardson was also on hand, and he had to like what he saw out of the Razorbacks after a frustrating 81-59 loss at Georgia. Arkansas fell to 0-8 away from Fayetteville with that the loss, but it looked much more like the team that owns home wins over three ranked teams this season.
Young’s 27 points were his best since scoring a season-high 28 in a loss at Connecticut on Dec. 3.
