Girls tennis
LADY ROUGHERS FINISH 13TH – The Muskogee girls’ tennis team came in 13th in the Muskogee Invitational on Friday.
Savannah Stevenson finished in 16th place at No. 1 singles for the Lady Roughers while Abby Wayman came in 12th in No. 2 singles.
In doubles action, Kaleigha Fields and Alexis Rosson finished in 13th in No. 1 doubles while Lauren Jardine and Serra finished in 6th in No. 2 doubles, falling to Broken Arrow 6-3, 6-2 in the fifth-place match.
Jenks won the team title with Enid, Cascia Hall, Edmond North and Broken Arrow rounding out the top five.
Baseball
MIAMI 4, HILLDALE 3 – The Hilldale Hornets suffered their third straight one-run loss to fall to 1-3 on the season.
Hunter Harrison fell to 1-1 on the year with the loss, giving up four runs, all unearned, in the first two innings on three hits with eight strikeouts.
Miles Jackson was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Coby Mullens drove in one run.
BRAGGS 16-22, INDIANOLA 6-2 – Payton York was 6-for-7 with nine RBIs in Braggs’ sweep of Indianola.
York was 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in the third inning, his first of the year, in the first game for the Wildcats (5-3) and 4-for-4 with six RBIs in the nightcap. Tatem Livingston was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and his first home run, in the second inning, in game two.
Rowdy Esminger and Brannon Stanfeld were the winning pitchers in games one and two, respectively, both earning their first victories of the season.
KEYS 17, WARNER 16 – The Warner Eagles fell in extra innings at Keys.
Tristan Vandaley (0-1) suffered the loss in relief. Cody Coffman, Levi Jones and Tim Smithson each had two hits in the game with Coffman driving in three runs.
Girls soccer
PORTER 1, TAHLEQUAH JV 1 – After a scoreless first half, KassaDee Merrill scored in the 71st minute for Porter and Julia Estera tallied one minute later for Tahlequah as the two schools fought to a draw.
Softball
WARNER 12, OKAY 1 – Kristen Lane was 2-for-3, including her second home run of the year, and drove in four runs for the Lady Eagles (3-1). Brianna Lane also homered for Warner, hir first career shot, which highlighted an eight-run third inning.
Brandie Center (3-1) scattered four hits and was 2-for-2 at the plate. The two teams play at Okay on Monday.
BRAGGS 13, GANS 6 – Four players for Braggs (6-1) had multi-hit games in the Lady Wildcats’ victory.
Hannah Mackey and Sydnee Whitekiller were each 2-for-3 with three and two RBIs, respectively, while Mady Englebretson and Jaycie Ray were each 2-for-4. Whitekiller had two RBIs while Ray had one RBI and scored twice.
Maggie Swarthout (6-1) got the win in the circle and struck out three batters in a complete game.
