BACONE 8, E. CENTRAL 1 — The Warriors made the most of eight hits with Wade Morten and Steven Smith going back-to-back in the third on two-out swats. It was Morten’s first and Smith’s second. Morten was 3-for-4 on the day. Allen Rimer threw six innings for the win, giving up four hits. Bacone is 14-7 and plays Northeastern State today.
OSU 5, MISSOURI ST. 4 — Randy McCurry drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th as OSU moved to 10-2 on the year. McCurry was 2-for-4 at the plate and improved to 2-1 on the mound, going the final two outs in the 10th in order for the Cowboys.
TEXAS-ARLINGTON 6, OKLAHOMA 1 — Jack Mayfield scored OU’s only run on a wild pitch. Ethan Carnes suffered his first loss, lasing two innings and giving up two runs. OU (11-2) had five hits in all.
WICHITA STATE 8, ORAL ROBERTS 1 — The Golden Eagles (5-6) managed just two hits off two Wichita State hurlers. Oktaha grad Cale Elam did not see action for Wichita.
