The Northeastern State men’s basketball team received good news as the NCAA released the 64-team fields for Division II national championship tournament on Sunday.
NSU was picked as the No. 7 seed in the D-II Central Regional and will play No. 2 Winona State in the first round with the time and date to be announced today. Minnesota St.-Mankato is the top seed in the regional and will serve as the host.
The women’s team, who entered the weekend as the No. 8 team in the Central Region poll, were left out of the women’s field after suffering a loss to Fort Hays State in the MIAA quarterfinals.
