STILWELL 48, TAHLEQUAH 33 — Gentry Blankenship had a team-high 10 points in coach Chad Walker’s debut as the Lady Tigers’ coach, but it wasn’t enough to offset the Lady Indians in the season opener for both teams at the Stilwell gym on Tuesday night.
Susie Means and Dani Huval scored 10 points each for Stilwell. The Lady Indians led 19-13 at halftime.
Stilwell plays at Fort Gibson at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
Boys
WEBBERS FALLS 65, PORUM 59 — In a late Monday game, Levi Sims poured in 33 points to lead the Warriors past the Panthers at the Porum gym. Chad Dandridge had 15 points for Webbers Falls, now 2-0 for the season.
Jason Wixom scored 23 and Harvin Wiggins added 14 for the Panthers (1-1).
Webbers Falls plays at home on Monday against Midway, while Porum travels to Braggs on Tuesday.
