INDEPENDENCE WOMEN 98, CONNORS 92 — At the Coffeyville Classic in Coffeyville, Kan., Connors battled with the No. 7 team in the country but came up just short to fall for the first time this season.

The Cowgirls play in the classic again at 4 p.m. today against host Coffeyville.
