VICTORY CHRISTIAN 64, SEQUOYAH 47 – The Sequoyah Indians watched as Victory Christian, No. 3 in Class 4A, used a 19-4 second quarter to post the win over the No. 9 Class 3A Indians.
Caisen Green led Sequoyah (12-6) with 11 points while B.J. Leach added 10 points.
SALLISAW CENTRAL 44, VIAN 36 — The Wolverines (6-8, 3-4) trailed throughout in a road loss, including 27-15 at the half. Shane Ross had 12 points and Shawn Troutman had 10.
HASKELL 63, MORRIS 50 — Alex Wheeland and Michael Love scored 16 points each as the Haymakers won the Eight Star Conference game at Morris’ gym.
Love also had nine rebounds and seven blocked shots. Chris Wright added 13 points as Haskell improved to 2-4 in conference and 6-12 overall. Haskell led 26-21 at halftime.
BEGGS 50, EUFAULA 52 – Eufaula (9-9, 4-2) saw Beggs take at 25-20 lead at intermission and could never overcome the deficit. Devone Garfield led the Ironheads with 13 points while Devin Siers had 11.
PORUM 45, WEBBERS FALLS 44 – Porum’s Dakota Wright grabbed a kick-out pass from Jordan Doke and drained a 10-foot jumper with :02 remaining to lift the Panthers (9-8, 5-2) to the win over Webbers Falls in Big Eight Star play. Wright led Porum (9-8, 5-2) in scoring with 14 points while Doke finished with 13 points. Webbers Falls took the lead with :10 left on a layup by Jordan Sharp.
WARNER 51, HULBERT 39 — The Eagles (10-8,1-5) get a Big Eight Star Conference win against the Riders (11-8). Warner led 17-16 and used a huge third quarter to pull away, outscoring Hulbert 16-8. The Riders shot 1-of-16 from 3-point range.
Grey Denton led the Eagles with 17 points, Kyle Taylor 12 and Tim Smithson 10. Parker Taylor led Hulbert with 14 points and 14 rebounds and Brandon Thompson added 10 points.
GORE 62, OKAY 25 — The Pirates (7-9, 2-3) got a Big Eight Star Conference win against the Mustangs, leading at the half 33-11. Gore was led by Jake Johnson with 20 points and Logan Ohl with 11 points.
STIGLER 63, WILBURTON 54 — The Panthers (8-9, 3-3) held on in a Black Diamond Conference game after leading by 19 points to start the second half. Stigler was led by Seth Sandlin with 21 points, Dylan Bryant with 13 and Ryan Echelle and Blaine Thompson with 10.
COWETA 55, TAHLEQUAH 45 — The Tigers (5-13, 2-6 Metro Lakes) dug a 31-18 hole against the 5A No. 5 squad. Lain Wright led Tahlequah with 17 points.
Girls basketball
VICTORY CHRISTIAN 49, SEQUOYAH 39 — The Lady Indians (12-6) fell to Victory Christian despite three in double figures: Courtney Jones with 14, Audrey Ballou with 11 and Loren Young with 10. Victory led 19-15 at the half.
MORRIS 60, HASKELL 55 — Coming off a hearbreaking championship game loss in the Mounds Tournament, Haskell (9-8, 3-5) was disappointed again after leading 47-32 at the half. Nikki Bolding had 17 points, Sherell McHenry 16 and Tashay Love 11.
HULBERT 55, WARNER 37 — Tiffany Thompson scored a game-high 26 points and Allison Arnall recorded three steals and two assists in the first three minutes of the game and finished with 11 points, seven assists, seven steals, and three rebounds as the Lady Riders (12-7, 4-2 Big Eight) won. Warner, which had 17 turnovers in falling to 6-11 and 2-4, was led by Raven Girty’s 12 points.
MIDWAY 65, BRAGGS 37 — The Class B No. 12 Lady Chargers (17-3,7-0) remained perfect in Riverside Conference play, holding Braggs to 12 first-half points. Kristy Sawvel had 13 points, Hailee Truesdell 11 and Alexa Miner 10 for Midway.
OKAY 42, GORE 24 — The Lady Mustangs (10-10,3-5) held Gore (0-14, 0-5) to three first-half points. Okay’s Bristen Graves led all scorers with 11 points and Courtney Smith was behind her with 9 points. Gore’s Trystan Wood had 8 points.
EUFAULA 64, BEGGS 61 – The Lady Ironheads survived a nip-and-tuck battle with Beggs to improve to 12,6, 4-2 in Big Eight Star action on Tuesday.
Janet Hill led Eufaula with 23 points followed by Alyssa Banks with 16 and Cheyanna Jones 11.
STIGLER 61, WILBURTON 57 — Stigler (7-10, 4-2 Black with Diamond Conference) was led by Nina Echelle with 16 points and Brook Hurst 15.
TAHLEQUAH 55, COWETA 38 — Randee O’Donnell had 22 points and Casey Beaston 12 for 5A No. 9 Tahlequah (11-7, 6-2), which took control outscoring Coweta 17-4 in the second quarter for a 28-15 halftime margin.
