In earlier games Friday at the Siloam Springs (Ark.) Holiday Tournament, the Wagoner boys beat Gentry, Ark., 60-47, while the girls fell 44-34 to Gentry.
Wagoner’s boys used a 22-6 second quarter to pull away to a 36-23 halftime advantage en route to its second victory this season in seven games.
Jessarai Fullbright led the Bulldogs with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Lateze Clayton had 12 points and Decarius Clark added 10.
Wagoner faces the McAlester-Prairie Grove, Ark., winner at 2:45 p.m. for the consolation championship.
The Lady Bulldogs (0-7) will play for Shiloh Christian seventh place at 11 a.m.
Wagoner struggled in the third quarter, making only 8 of 18 free throws. The Lady Bulldogs trailed 22-17 at halftime.
Shareece Robbins led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points, while Kelsi Emmons and Karrigan Kimball had nine each. Cherokee Ridge grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Because of an early press deadline, the Phoenix was unable to provide roundups of the games involving the Tahlequah boys and girls. Also, the opponent of the Wagoner boys had not been determined as of press time.
