CHECOTAH SPLITS – The Checotah Lady Wildcats prepared themselves for Class 4A district action with a spilt at Wagoner, falling to Roland in the first game 8-2 before defeating the home Lady Bulldogs 2-1.
In the victory over Wagoner, the Lady Wildcats (10-16) were led by Kori Carmack and Kiah Hill who both went 1-for-3 with an RBI, Carmack’s tying the game in the seventh and Hill’s proving to be the game winner.
Taylor Davidson pitched both games and saw her record improve to 10-16.
OKAY 3, MCALESTER 0 – Led by Bristen Graves’ 14 kils and Lindsey Allen’s eight, the Lady Mustangs, ranked second in the Okrankings.com Class 4A poll, rolled past the Buffaloes at McAlester’s gym, winning 25-11, 25-19 and 25-15 to improve to 25-3 for the season.
Graves and Alyssa Moore had three aces each. Courtney Smith and Allen had 14 digs each. Brooke Long had 23 assists as the Lady Mustangs have not lost since Sept. 1.
Okay hosts Sequoyah at 6 p.m. tonight on Senior Night. The Lady Mustangs also host regionals on Thursday.
COWETA 3, SEQUOYAH 0 – The Sequoyah Lady Indians were swept by Coweta on Monday by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-18.
Kendra Hammer led the Lady Indians (19-11) with four kills and one ace while Alison Holcomb had two kills, three aces and four digs.
